Powder River Sportsmen’s Club has a rich history of Volunteerism in the community and the state of Oregon, evolving from organizations such as The Oregon Game Protective Society in 1946 to present day Powder River Sportsmen’s Club. (see Club History)
The goals have consistently revolved around the education and promotion of firearm safety, and the conservation and protection of our natural resources for the benefit of our community as a whole.
PRSC sponsored an annual sports show until 1967 in the Baker Community Center, we are proud to announce that on November 29 & 30, 2025 at the Baker County Event Center we are again sponsoring “The Powder River Sportsmen Club Gun Show”.
We are looking for members who wish to volunteer and support the Club’s activity for our community. Volunteers will be wearing tags identifying them as club members.
At this time we have 38 tables sold and with our advertisement in “Gun Show Traders Magazine” we expect more entrants coming soon.
Set the date in your calendar and we look forward to seeing you there.
Upcoming events for August; Club meeting on the 5th, we will be discussing positions to fill for the November gun show. There will be a discussion on proposed policy for range events. A presentation allowing membership to post comments and pictures to Club Facebook pages and discussion of guidelines for doing so.
On August 14th at 7:30am till 1pm we will be hosting a group (40 members) from the Oregon Mayors Association at the range. Range Officer for the event is Doug Shade call Doug @ 541-519-5531 if you wish to volunteer and support this event.
The Pistollettes continue to meet at the Range and encourage those who are interested to join them.
